DEVELOPER License in a Non-Production License

Hi Everyone,

Has any of you experienced this message on licensing, and if yes, may I ask what helped you resolve it?

What I am trying to do is use a developer license into a non-production JIRA Software. Here is the error.

"This is a license for DEVELOPER JIRA, which does not match your existing license for COMMERCIAL JIRA"

What I have done is, I copied then pasted the developer license to a non-production JIRA Software (7.0.10) and got this message. Tried updated also the add-ons into a developer license and got a message that the license is invalid.

Look first at the licence for JIRA Core/Software/Service Desk - what do the licences for them have?  You need to replace these with developer licences.  If you have Software or Service Desk, do them first (you might find it easier to disable them first - then they won't check for licences and you can replace the Core licence)

Thank you @Nic Brough [Adaptavist]. Removing the other application's license did the trick. But remove the JIRA service desk's license first (clicking the trash bin icon). This leaves the JIRA Software - currently licensed, then update the existing license with the developer license. This way should accept the developer license. After that, the JIRA service desk license can be updated with the appropriate developer license.
