Different total scope between burnup and burndown

Brook Warner

I am comparing the burndown and the burnup charts for our current sprint.

When I examine our sprint board, we have 116 points in the sprint today, and we have 32 points remaining to complete

The burndown chart is showing that our peak total scope was 116, and shows 32 points remaining.

The burnup chart is showing 140 points scope, and 87pts completed. We had some tickets erroneously added to our sprint, but we since removed those.

I would assume that if we accidentally added 24 points, but then removed those 24 points, they would be removed from the burnup graph?

Am I doing something wrong? Am I misunderstanding how this works? Is this a bug?
