Hello,
I need to disable the account of the first user on our Jira Cloud instance, however I'm weary that doing so may cause a negative impact to our instance as the user set everything up.
Myself and one other user have the same admin permissions as the user we intend to remove.
Does anyone know if I should expect an impact?
Many thanks,
Joshua
As long as you have another user with admin rights, you should be fine.
Unless the old admin set up anything to run as them. There's usually little or no need for that, so I wouldn't expect to see it, and even if they did do that, it will only stop that one process working, and it'll be easy to spot.
That's perfect, thank you very much Nic.
Have a great day,
Joshua

Hi @Josh Oxendale,
There should be no negative impact so long as at least one other admin has the same permissions as the original admin you intend to remove.
If the original admin has their details on the billing page, I would update the billing details to an active admin or dept with your organisation.
I have personally removed an original site admin and there was no trace of a negative impact.
Hope this helps
