Disaster Recovery (DR) using VM snapshot on remote virtual environment?

jamie_brown_ngc_com March 21, 2022

Disaster Recovery (DR) model for Atlassian VM server(s) is to snapshot and copy the virtual servers and databases to another vm environment co-located off-site and bring them up as if they were in their original location. Our plan is to have them up with minimal reconfiguration and down time to the users. I'm not finding a lot of info on this DR method, just the Atlassian plan for a cold backup server which requires a trial license. What issues can I expect by performing the DR plan with cloning the environment, either throwing it to another VM or bring it back?
