Do we need to do upgrade activities on cloud as well?

Hi team,

If we move to jira cloud, will there be still upgrade or patch activities that we need to do as we usually do on our server instance?

Can you just let me know what major activities getting removed from a system admin perspective in jira cloud.

Good Day!!

If you are using an Atlassian Cloud, you don't need to worry about the Application upgrade or any Patch activities. Atlassian will take care of everything regarding backend stuff as we don't have access. You need to just spined up Jira or Confluence site.

Coming to your second question, Atlassian has already created one document which describes the difference between server and Cloud, and also shows the what the Admin activities are reduced when you go with the Atlassian Cloud.
