Documentation inconsistency for Release Burndown?

Thanks for raising this issue.  From looking at this I am in agreement with you.  The example image there does not appear to make sense with the text that appears below this.  I have created an internal request to have our documentation team review this specific page to make sure this is up to date and/or correct this issue.
