Does modifying the audit log retention setting get captured?

Hi all - As part of a compliance initiative, we're reviewing application auditing capabilities. 

Q) If an administrator modifies the Audit Log Retention Period (e.g. 6mo to 1mo), is this activity captured?

I don't see a specific line item in https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver085/auditing-in-jira-applications-981155595.html

testing on a Jira Server v.8.5 I can say that changing the setting for the retention period is NOT recorded in Audit Log.

Dear @Paul Gryfakis ,

I recommend to figure out. Set it to 5mo, but export the audit log first.

If not possible on your productive environment, set up a staging environment with a developers license and check again.
