Dropdown field + textbox - is that possible?

Hello

I have to add a custom dropdown field (with given values) but the user would need to add new values if the value he needs doesn't exist. i.e. a mix of dropdown + textbox (sometimes it was called a "combobox") . Any idea ?

Thank you

Not natively.

You'd need to code to implement something like this, writing an add-on to provide a field like this.

A label type field can capture the same information, and is probably a better implementation frankly, because it suggests existing labels instead of encouraging the user to enter minor variations.
