When exporting the results of a filter va Excel CSV (filter fields), the resulting extract always contains three additional fields not identified in the search results:
How do I suppress these fields and where is it coming from? (This is for Jira Cloud)
Hi @Nitin S_ Joshi ,
The fields Issue ID, Assignee ID, and Reporter ID are included by default in the CSV export from Jira Cloud. These fields are part of the core data that Jira includes in exports to ensure complete context and traceability of the issues, and unfortunately, there is no built-in option to suppress these fields in the export settings.
Thanks.
Hi Nitin,
It's likely that Jira includes these ID fields to maintain data integrity and provide unique identifiers for each issue, assignee, and reporter, especially if the data is used outside of Jira.
These extra fields will only appear if you include the "Assignee", "Reporter", and "Key" columns in your export.
If you don't need those ID fields, you could try removing these field "Assignee", "Reporter", and "Key" columns from your filter. However, those are often useful fields, so that might not be ideal!
As an alternative, "Export HTML report (filter fields)" only includes the specific filter columns you have chosen. You could try that, but again, it might not be ideal depending on your purpose.
Hope this helps!

If you don't need those identifiers in your case (in other use case they are useful!) and don't want to waste your time with cleaning up the CSV file, just use the Better Excel Exporter app to produce the export. It will not add unexpected columns to the result.
