Field Configuration - Not displaying required fields

I am having an issue with field configurations and fields that I make required are not displaying when creating an issue.

  1. I am on the Cloud instance
  2. I have admin permissions
  3. I have been able to edit "issue types" and seen the changes reflected

Here's my issue. I am trying to make some fields required. Specifically, "description" and "due date." Although when I mark them as "required" they do not show up as a "required" field when you create a new issue. As a test, i also added a "description" to the "due date" field and that doesnt show up either.

I have attached some screenshots to show you what I am seeing.

Some field configuration schemes are made up of configurations for different issue types. Make sure the configuration applies to the issue type you're trying it on.  Also, whenever you get odd behaviors try re-indexing.

Hello,

I just tried it on my Jira instance. It works as expected. Kindly check that the field configuration scheme, where you made changes, is connected to the project, where you create the issue.
