Filter-based Dropdown

Deon Schaffer April 22, 2024

Is it possible to create a dropdown field in JSM that is based upon a predefined filter (or query).

I am looking to have a dropdown on a form that is based on the Summary field of a dynamic set of issues. (The filter could be based on current status of the issues for example.)

Hi @Deon Schaffer

This type of custom field and configuration is not available out of the box.

However, you might be able to get most of the way there with a plugin like this (specifically Smart Fields feature):

Hi Josh, thanks for the reference. Unfortunately, that component did not work out as the control cannot be used in the Jira Service Desk Portal or in a Jira form. :-(

I am still on the prowl for a control that can provide a dropdown field in JSM that is based upon a predefined filter (or query).
