Filter by epic when grouped by subtask

Mateja Jermanis October 19, 2021

When I'm in the board view of my current sprint, I can group by multiple options, but my team prefers the subtask one, so we are able to have a clear vision of all the subtasks that entered the sprint.

Our parent tasks always have an epic associated, and the subtasks of the tasks always belong to that epic.

However, when our board is grouped by subtasks and we wish to filter by epic, that is unavailable, and our board remains empty, leaving only those tasks which belong to the filtered epic, but have no subtasks assigned.

Below images and explanations:

This is the board filtered by subtask:screenshot1.png

As you can see, there are multiple tasks pertaining to the Epic, and each task has a number of subtasks.

However, once we filter by that epic, the view of the board is like this:

The board has changed completely, and all the tasks pertaining to the epic which had subtasks have disappeared.
The task that remains is the only one without subtasks.

Is there a way of fixing this?

Hi @Mateja Jermanis, we have tried to reproduce this, but couldn't find any issues! Are you able to reach out to Support, so they can look into this?
