Gap at the bottom when using Jira with a list of issues on the left side

I have been using Jira for a while and I've always seen that big gap. I think that after 10 years you'd have it fixed so now I have to be pro-active and report it.

I blurred it since the entries are proprietary.

The setup is simple, I go to a project, create a filter at the top, get issues on the left and in many cases, I get that gap at the bottom. I can still browse my issues on the left, but I lose access to the filters which is a big annoyance since once in a while I'd like to tweak that.

I can provide Jira with the original movie (no blur) but it has to be kept private.

Anyway, I hope that will get fixed once and for all within the next 10 years.

Below you ask for the version, it has happened forever. The first version I used was probably 4.x and now we're at 8.x and also I work with a customer who uses Jira Cloud and it fails the same way (below I copied the About Jira entry from the Cloud version).

How often does this happen?

I've opened up both our Server and Cloud instances, and it didn't happen straight away.

I found it did happen once I had a larger body of text in the Description in Cloud, but not on Server.

It's not something I've noticed before but I mainly use List View rather than Detail View!

I did find some bugs which appear related - see JRASERVER-60201 and JRASERVER-60118 

I would vote/follow the most relevant bug, or if you feel this bug is different, report it via https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

On the cloud version, it's like all the time. There may be reasons like when the list of issues grows larger than the height of a page.

Right now, I get an extra scrollbar toward the right side. That's much better than not seeing the filters although it's not practical, it's better that way (at least until you find out what causes the bar to appear).

And yes, the bugs you pointed out look like they describe my issue.
