Is it possible to grant access to all the users inside an AD group to have access to JIRA Administration? we are using self managed installation.
As far as I know I can't. I know that we can create a group inside JIRA and add individual users to that group and grant access.
Hey Supriya,
yes this is possible. I assume that you mean MS Active Directory.
In my case our company also integrated our Active Directory.
I'm not 100% sure if this works for the directory access type = with local groups since we use read-only.
However, make sure that the group you wish to assign Jira Admin permission is synchronised from your AD into Jira. Next open the Jira global permissions menu). Now select Jira Administrators as permission and select the group you wish to grant that permission.
Thank you @P_D_ Foerster . Let's says If I want to add developers AD group to JIRA and there are 10 people in that group do I need 10 user licences?

Hi Supriya,
yes, since every user that is able to log in counts towards the user license limit.
You also have to add those users to your group that is configured for application access..
