We are trying to build our system for an IT department. We have several groups within our IT department such as Infrastructure, Support, etc.. Is it possible to create groups within a project so issues can be routed to the correct group?
Also, we plan on bringing in other departments such as HR, Facilities, etc.. We planned on creating other Projects for those departments and would like to keep all of IT under one project.
Is this possible?
@Ryan Rosenthal Well currently you cannot assign issues to group. but ofcourse you can create group and add users to this group and then give the permission to this project base on group. But one thing could do is to add a post function, that triggers the issue created event and add the group that will receive notification that ticket has been created.
Best regards,
Moses
No, groups are globally available collections of users, and are not definable at project level.
There's nothing to stop you "routing" things to groups by project though.
If, for example, you had a group called "Infrastructure", then in the "infrastructure" project(s), set the permission so that the "assignable user" has to be in that group.
