Jira flow structure allows managing the life times of incidents, but not projects. How can I manage the life of a project?
Taking into account that the flows are assigned to a task and not to a project. Is it possible to organize projects independently of their execution with jira?.
My flow structure is as follows:
Client: Project:
- In evaluation (create issue with evaluation)
- In progress
- For delivering results (create issue with deliver)
- Completed (to be billed) (create issue with the bill in pdf format)
I can use the categories as customer names, but I still can't manage the projects.
Depending on how you manage projects you could use agile project management, splitting up projects to Epics, Stories, Tasks, Sub-Tasks. (Please find more useful information on this topic here: https://www.atlassian.com/agile/project-management).
Apart from that you can setup workflows according to your needs - no matter if you will go with the agile approach or not.
I am not sure what is meant by the "create issues with..." options. If you further need to split up working packages you could try using Sub-Tasks.
Indeed, there are several options available - which one comes handy depends a bit on your use case and which specific methods your team would like to use in order to get the projects actually done.
Cheers,
Daniel
