We do not enter the hours each task will take to complete, would be to much of a guess, but I want to be able to add the percent complete a task is as supplied by the assignee of that task and be able to track and see it in the Gantt chart view. Yes, I know this is counter intuative to strict agile but we have several projects that cannot follow that methodology as we have strict contracted dates we must hit. I need this ability (similar to MS Project) so I can show the % complete that is being reported on each task.
There are a couple of ways that you could do this. You could add a custom field and enter the PCT complete. Alternatively, you could assign 100 hours to every task at the outset and then adjust the time remaining based on the percentage complete. This would give you a view using the Time Tracking feature. This would have the advantage that if the person adjusting the Percent Complete used the Log Work feature, they could enter a note about why they are setting that percentage.
