How do I automate JIRA to create a ticket on Board A, once another ticket is created on Board B?

Amitava Mallick March 25, 2022

I have 2 Boards A and B. Now Board A is used by Customer Success and Board B by Product Engineering.

I want to create a rule where once a ticket is created by the Customer Success on Board A, the same ticket should duplicate itself on the JIRA Board B. Can anyone help please?

Hi @Amitava Mallick

It is a simple automation rule.

Trigger: Issue transition to OPEN (or whatever first status/transition you have)

Then: Clone issue into: PROJECTNAME

I also made a video explaining this rule.

I hope it helps.

Hello Ravi. Thanks a  ton for the guidance.

However I was more interested to look at a specific kind of ticket, with a specific label, and then only that task should be replicated.

Lets suppose, once a ticket is created by Customer Success team in Board A. Only when a certain LABEL is put in that ticket will a similar ticket appear in Board B
