How do I change the field layout on the CREATE issue screen?

Hello Steve,

Welcome to community :) 

Its not possible to directly change the issuelayout of the create screen.

Only thing you can do here is as below 

- say you have an issue type task 

- you can associate that issue type with a different screen or field. Please find details here : https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-associate-a-single-issue-type-with-a-different-screen-scheme-and-workflow-scheme-in-a-project-1388159553.html

- Post that you can edit the issue layout of that issue type.

- So that issue type will have different layout

Hi Steve,

Do you have multiple screens in the screen scheme with one being the Create? 

If so, try making it the Default screen in the Scheme and see if that will let you configure it. If not, then I am afraid it is not possible. What is it that you are trying to do?
