How do I view Epics without Issues in a Board?

I am using jira cloud. I have a classic software project. I have created epics but unless they have other jiras related to them they will not appear.

 

Is there something I can set in my board settings to show epics without issues?

Hi,

 

   If you want to see only the Epic in board. Update your board filter to project =xxx and issuetype = Epic.

@Ravi It's not that I only want to see epics in the board, but I also want to see epics that don't also have issues attached to it yet. My current filter is set to the project. Do I need to specify all the issue types I want to show up in the JQL?
