How does atlassian manage application data and database objects for different customers

In our company, we use Atlassian products' server versions. Obviously, each product has its own application data folder and dedicated database objects(in fact a separate database). But how does that work for cloud version? Do all data of all customers go to the same place or somehow they keep them separate? If so, then how? Yes, there're for sure multiple servers running behind load balancers but still, I would like to know how Atlassian exactly does that?
