I do have 1000s of versions already in each projects and list is non ending, which slows down the system. Wondering is there any way to add 100 more versions and not break the system.
I thought of archiving the old ones but how it would impact on reports?
Hi Qumar,
Currently, there is no limit for versions and according to this bug, boards will break if Jira has more than 65000 unreleased version, so I believe that if you add more 100 version will not affect your system.
Related to archiving versions, according to our documentation, the version report shows only released versions and not archived ones, so yes, it may affect the report.
Hope this helps!

Hi Qumar,
I have Jira server only for test purposes on my machine, so it has the minimum requirements.
For you to do not face performance issues, please check the documentation below where it shows the requirements:
- Server Hardware Requirements Guide
- Jira Sizing Guide
Hope this helps!
