Hello everybody,

we have milestones that are cross-project. Can you assign a milestone to multiple projects?

Thank you in advance

Hi @Leena Pratheepan

Trust you are well.

For most cross-project things you need an App. Advanced Roadmap might be an option to track cross project milestones as cross project releases.

If you decide to check out the Apps I would suggest to look at Release Management for Jira. Here you can add cross project releases with custom workflows and define intermediate release milestones.

Many thanks & Kind regards,

Yuri.

Hi @Leena Pratheepan

Short answer is unfortunately, no. Versions are project-level configuration, not global within Jira.

Advanced Roadmaps is probably going to be the best tool out there for you, for configuring cross-project releases. Doc for ref: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/create-a-cross-project-release-in-advanced-roadmaps/

Hope that provides a bit of insight - Steve.
