How to add users to a JIRA group with Scriptrunner Cloud?

Hello guys!

I'm looking for a example on Scriptrunner Cloud to add users (Reporters) to a Jira group.

I found the Jira API Documentation, looks like the API dosen't work very well.

Thank you for your question.

I can confirm that it is not possible with ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud to set users as members of groups.

The reason for this is that the Add User to Group which Atlassian provide as documented here is marked as Apps cannot access this REST resource.

This means that ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud will be unable to make a call to this Rest API as it is only permitted to use the API's which Atlassian allow Apps to access.

I understand that this response is frustrating but please understand that ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud is only able to use the API's which Atlassian permit apps to use as explained above and as the API you require is not permitted to be used by Apps then it means that this requirement cannot be achieved with ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud.

Although scriptrunner can't do this you can use IPASS systems that can do this. 

BetterCloud is one of the systems that can do this along with Tray.io, I would look to a IPASS system to assist with this. 

I recently was trying to achieve the same thing but it doesn't allow you in cloud to do this just Data Center.
