How to configure Subtasks card layout

Daniel Shukrun January 30, 2024

Hi,

"Subtasks" details displied on Story/Task issue page does not show Story-Point information, like "Child issues" are displied on Epic issue page. On the Epic issue page I get the Story-Point values, which I don't get on the Story issue page. How can I get "Subtasks" SP values on the Story/Task page ?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Sub-tasks should not have sprint estimates on them, so Jira will not display it in the estimate column in the backlog.

You could add it as a field in the backlog display if you need to see it, but I would not bother.

If you have added story points to sub-tasks as the same field as the base-level issue types (stories, issues, etc), then you have broken your Jira - your Scrum reports will ignore them, and the rest of Jira will double-count your estimates.
