How to link issues to bitbucket?

We currently completed scaling in our organization and have migrated all open issues to a standard framework within Jira. If the links between bitbucket code and the story are broken when the key was changed, how do we restore this?

It's messy.  The way we have done this for several clients is to use the Git Integrations for Jira 3rd party App and use the Git notes feature. You will need to identify commits with a Jira issue number, then add a note to each commit with the new Jira issue number. The Git Integrations App can read Git notes and make the association.

Honestly, I would call this a "known issue" and not bother with it. It's a lot of work for probably very little ROI.
