How can i make a field mandatory using automation for jira. Is it possible to do with automation for jira. Let me know if this can be done or not.

Automation can fill in a field if you want it to be filled in no matter what, but it is not a validator or field configuration.  It automates things, not controls process.

You will need to do this with a validator or field configuration.
