How to reflect field/screen changes in existing issues?

Seri Ogata October 18, 2016

I am using JIRA software 7.2.3 ( beginner)

  • Is it possible to change filed/screen which is used by existing issues?
  • How to reflect field/screen changes in existing issues?

I defined a new issue type. After I had created some issues, i changed filed/screen configuration. Then,  i open(just view) existing old issues, their screen is an old one. When i edit these old issues, i can edit new field. But their screen is not latest one. When i create new issues, they have the latest fields and the latest screen.

Thank you in advance

Seri

The issue view screen will only show custom fields when they have data.  You need to edit the issue in full to add data to fields, then they'll appear in the issue view.
