I recently updated the project key and name in our Jira Kanban Project.
After this change, I've noticed that all configurations related to Kanban, including tasks, stories, and sprints, seem to have disappeared.
Could anyone advise if there's a method to revert these changes, or if there's a way to recover the lost Kanban settings?
Any guidance or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Hey @mark_tsai ,
Install the rewind app from the Atlassian marketplace (it's free). Let it do the backup, and just be sure that you remembered the name of the project. Then select the version that was previously created - in this case would be the project that you have created before changing the name and the project key.
Here are my results:
Thank you for your assistance!
However, I'm wondering if it's still possible to recover the data if I hadn't installed the this app beforehand?
Is there any alternative method for those who didn't have the app installed prior to making the changes?

Hello @mark_tsai ,
Sadly no, you cannot revert the changes once they have been made. This app might help in restoring.

Hi @mark_tsai ,
Welcome to the community !!
After you change a project key, you will need to update board filters, dashboard filter gadgets, and any other global queries with the new key. Updating the filters with new key will enable all the disappeared boards and other settings.

thank you for your post.
In our JSM project we changed the key from ZINNKSD to INNKSD. We believe we have updated all filters and dashboard filter gadgets with the new key.
In board view (only in board view) we are still seeing the old key (ZINNKSD):
Then there is a filter we are not able to delete, saying that it's being used by the old key (ZINNKSD).
Is there any way to find where/how this filter is being used?
Regarding global queries, I am not entirely sure how to determine if there are any referring to the old key. How could I determine this?
