How to schedule regular backup Jira OnDemand

was aeronaves July 31, 2014

I want from our servers to daily start a backup of our Jira OnDemand instance by scheduling a script that would run from cron.

I'm thinking about using curl to (a) start the backup and; (b) get the file generated.

Question: Is there a REST API to generate the backup? If not, can I use curl to simulate a browser user pressing the "Create Backup" button in the admin page?
