How to transition the state without popping up a dialog asking the user for information

When I transition to Closed, Jira pops up a dialog with all the elements of the ticket and makes me click another button.  How do I stop this?  I just want to transition to Closed with one click.  Currently, I click the status drop down and choose to transition to Closed.

I now have to wait for a dialog to open and then click Closed again.  How annoying.

This happens on many transitions.

Hi John,

Sure, you should be able to get rid of that. It is probably asking for a Resolution as well. You can set the Resolution by adding a Post Function to the transition to Closed. If there are multiple options you want to consider, then maybe add a transition per Resolution type along with the appropriate post function for that Resolution.

What other fields is it forcing you to populate that are not there already?

Finally, to get rid of the popup, while Editing the workflow, click on the transition, then Click on Edit. There you can get rid of the transition screen that is attached to the transition.

Hi @John Robbins , nice to hear from you.
It's probably a transition screen, which is on your transition to the Closed state.

To revert this, check/edit the workflow associated with the issuetype you're working with, or contact the Jira Admin for your instance (in case it's not you) to review this aspect.

I hope I can help.
Regards, Mariano

Thanks Mariano - That worked.  Just edited the Transition and removed the Transition View (set to "No view for transition".  Worked great.  Thanks!
