I have created users in atlassian-crowd and I need to use two factor authentication. To do this, I installed a plugin U2F and TOTP for Jira and and crowd. The problem is that the input window OTP appears only for native users, when I try to use users from the Crowd in Jira, an authorization error occurs and the input window OTP not displayed.
hi @Dmitrii ,
Thanks a lot for choosing our solutions.
Our apps can handle the scenario that you've described.
From the information that you mention it seems that you faced an authentication issue. But we'll definitely need more details.
We'd be very glad to help you and solve this, that's why I'd appreciate it if you submit us a support request here: https://aserve.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3
Thanks,
Anna
Hello Dimitri,
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
From your query, I understand that you want to use two-factor authentication for your users present in Jira and Crowd. The installed 2FA plugin works well for all the internal directory users but fails 2FA when a user from a different directory tries to log in.
You can try using Two Factor Authentication plugins provided by miniOrange. Your use case can be handled using these 2FA plugins.
miniOrange provides 2FA solutions for all Atlassian products ranging from Jira to Crowd and is highly rated and recommended by Atlassian customers.
I am sharing the marketplace link for both JIRA 2FA and Crowd 2FA plugins. You can try them on your end.
In case you have any more questions feel free to ask. I would suggest you raise a ticket with us to discuss this in detail and we will help you provide the best solution.
PS, I work for miniOrange, one of the top SSO and 2FA vendors in the Atlassian Marketplace. Reach out to us via atlassiansupport@xecurify.com
Thanks,
Aniket
