Our hierarchy has Epic -> Feature - Story/Task etc.
I know I can group the swimlanes by Feature, but I don't want to use grouping.
I would just like to have no grouping and see the features on the Kanban and Scrum boards, with their related stories under them, just like we can do for the story - sub-task view.
Is this possible?
I've tried a quick filter but they don't show up; <project = xyz and IssueType = Feature>
Interesting. I'm a DC customer, so I wasn't aware of this new functionality for Cloud.
My guess is that what you're trying to do isn't possible because it doesn't work that way with the original Epic > Story hierarchy (if you hadn't renamed Epic to Feature).
In order to provide this functionality in our instance, we installed the Structure plugin, which allows you to show the hierarchical relationship across all levels (even the custom-made ones).
I'm guessing that it will still work even though you've renamed the Epic issue type. I think there are other plugins (Big Picture) that do something similar.
I'm confused as to how you were able to create a new level in the hierarchy between Epic and Story. Can you explain how you did it?

Go to Admin - Settings - Issues and open that page.
Then adapt your hierarchy.
There is a Community link describing this in far more detail - let me see if I can get it for you...
