I have made a field called NC, but it doesn't show up in the dropdown. I have checked the custom field settings en get the following result;
So the only options for search template are Comment count searcher or none.
Does anyone know what the solution might be for this problem?
Hi @Jeremy
The custom field NC is of what type?
Hi @Fazila Ashraf , thanks for replying..
The custom field is the type; numeric values.
If that is what you mean.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Are you sure whether it is of type 'Number' and not 'Number of comments' like below
Not all field types are supported in the automation. If you are using number of comments, you could use advanced field editing referring https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/advanced-field-editing-using-json/
If you meant to use 'Number' field, could you try to create a new number field and verify whether it appears for automation field lists for edit?

Hi @Fazila Ashraf , I have this now as advanced field editing. It doesn't work and I don't know if this is the right way to type it in the advanced field editing.

Hi @Jeremy
The json is not correct. But by looking at your implementation, i think what you are trying to achieve is using the field to update the number of comments. Is that right?
If yes, you do not have to update it via automation but create a field of type 'Number of comments' and it will auto count the comments.
It cannot be viewed in the ticket due to this bug https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-74967 but visible via issue navigator.
Hope this helps!

Hi Jeremy,
If you did this in separate tabs/windows, you will need to refresh your Rules page before you will see any new custom fields show up.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
