Hello, we are transitioning from Trello to Jira however, we would like to have everything in Jira.
From timers and time tracking to reporting. In this case, I wanted to see how I can view everyone's calendar into one mashed up calendar - like in Google Calendar.
I want to have a calendar where I can see when they worked on a specific ticket and if they are working on the same time with their teammates. I wanted to be able to sort which teams' calendar to view as well.
In this case, we tried reporting and exporting logs however, they would only show us the time spent and not the time they started working and the time that they finished.
Do we need any add-on? I tried tempo and other trackers but they only show me the hours that they logged and not when. Thank you!
Hi @Darcy M
Tempo can show this based on user , see https://www.tempo.io/blog/a-simple-guide-to-tempo-reports
Or you can even contact there support to help you if required.
Otherwise use the API or a marketplace app to export required data to a BI tool and bulid your own report based on the acquired data.
Hello @Marc - Devoteam
Thank you for this. I did see this in Tempo which gave me the idea that it might be better to do it in a team mode so that I would be able to see if someone has overlapping with a member and see if they would benefit from it.
On the other hand, I also just realized that it might look too crowded and busy so a report may be better. Unfortunately, I think Jira only shows time logged against a ticket and not the time it actually started being worked on.
I have tried using BI and other timetracking report tools but it's always the same.

Hi @Darcy M
Correct, then you could use auto timers, I don't think Tempo has this incorporated.
So you might want to look at another time tracking app that has this option and has decent reporting.
Related if you want to use BI, does the app have an API to collect this info.

Hi Darcy - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I will just say that that seems like some serious micromanagement. What are you trying to accomplish by this? One option would be to create a Dashboard and add an Activity Stream for each user that you want to track and then scan them for those times if that's how you want to spent your day. But normal time tracking systems are not designed to work that way.

Hello @John Funk
I am so sorry if it looks that way! This is only for us to visualize the productivity and planning of our team. Our team is global and has a flexible schedule so we needed something to give us an overview of their hours to determine the following - and maybe adjust their schedule synced to the majority of the team if they are not getting productive:
Something like if they are not productive or at least not finishing tasks, see who is the team member that works close to his schedule so he could have support.
We aspire to provide everyone flexible schedules however, we will need data in case we are not meeting the deadlines so we would know what to do next. I hope that makes sense!
In this case, it seems like all data being pulled from Jira only allows the hours logged against it, and not the actual time when it started.

I think you might be better off using a Time In Status report. There are several apps in the Atlassian Marketplace for this, and some are even free!
