Our marketing team uses Jira for campaign tracking, but we also rely on Slack for communication and Google Drive for content storage.
Right now, everything feels disconnected. I’m switching between tools and manually updating things in Jira.
How can I integrate Jira with the tools we use to make our workflow smoother?
Hi @Abetel
We’ve been in the same boat at my previous company, and the key to making Jira work with other tools is smart integrations.
The first thing I would recommend is to check for native integrations in Jira Marketplace (tools like Slack, Google Drive, and GitHub have direct plugins).
Like for example, setting up Slack-Jira integration allows automatic updates in Slack when an issue is created or updated, saving you from constant context-switching.
For more complex integrations, I think it’s worth exploring tools like Zapier or Jira Automation to sync data across platforms.
For my team it was GREAT as we even configured Google Drive links to automatically attach to Jira tickets based on campaign names.
As a heads-up also, make sure permissions are properly configured so that only the right people can access sensitive information across these integrations.
Let me know if you have any questions 😊
Hi @Abetel
As suggested, you can use Atlassian marketplace apps to integrate Jira and Google Drive. In this quick guided tour you can see how our Google Drive Connector for Jira works. You can try it for free and it's also free for up to 10 users.
