Interesting behavior observed in notification scheme helper

If you follow a link like this: https://[server_host]/secure/admin/EditNotifications!default.jspa?schemeId=12805, and the notification scheme ID does not exist, you get a page like this:
Note the "{0}" notification scheme banner at the top. What is this page, and what happens if I make edits on it? Where do they go?

Atlassian Team members are employees working across the company in a wide variety of roles.
This behavior is indeed interesting.
I've performed some tests in my instance, and you can't edit this notification scheme. You should see an error like the following.
