Is it possible to automatically change custom field value depending on issue type and status?

Hello,

 

I need help to set up automation which will change custom filed (one choice list type) value depending on issue type and status change. 

e.g. : issue "Task" with status "in progress" change to status "done" which will trigger custom field change for speciffic value.

Yes it's possible.  

Trigger: transition status from and to

Condition: issue type = task

Action: edit issue and the field you want
