Is it possible to have the create screen pop up when creating an issue from an Epic?

When creating an issue from an Epic in Jira Cloud, I've noticed that it doesn't show the full create screen pop up like it does in Jira Server/Data Center. Users are unable to create certain issue types from epics if those issuetypes have a 'Fields Required' validator when creating that issue type.

Is there a way to get the full create screen to show when creating an issuetype from an Epic?

I know it works for Required from Field Configuration, but not for Field Required validator

Got it - I am using the Fields Required Validator within the workflow so that's probably why I'm experiencing this issue.

When you say you are creating an issue from an Epic, do you mean you are adding a child issue? And from the Epic it is just adding a line under Child Issues for you to enter the Summary?

It should automatically open a dialog for entering data in other issue fields when either a field has been set as required in the Field Configuration or a Validator is requiring a field to be set. Is that not what you are experiencing? If not, can you provide more details about the exact experience your users are having?
