Is it possible to track how many items are pulled from the backlog by week in dataplane?

Our team uses a kanban board, but are interested in seeing how many tickets we pull out of the backlog each week to see if we are overloading ourselves.

Is there a way to do this in kanban?

Thanks!

Hello @Kyle Robinson

Welcome to the community.

The first question that needs answering is how do you know that something has been pulled into the board? Is it a change of status? Is there only one status to which an issue can be changed that results in it being pulled into the board, or several?

Second question - Once an issue has been pulled into the board, is it ever "pushed" back out of the board without being completed? And if so how would you identify that?

It can be moved from status backlog, to open.

Generally issues do not get pushed back into the backlog if work has started, but sometimes an issue that got pulled out, and triaged, gets put back.

Open > Triaging > Backlog

Backlog > Open > Triaging > In progress (after this, it never goes back into backlog
