Is there a way to quickly change a link's "is cause by" parameter

We clone a lot of tasks.

And to make things clear, we need to change the cloned task's link in the original task to something other than "cloned".

Is there a way to quickly change the "is caused by" status?

In this example, i need this link to change to 'relates to'.

Usually I delete then add the task.

Seems that you guys would have a quick way to simply change it.

Stephanie,

It is not possible to change the link type other than removing the link and re-adding it as you're doing now with the different type.  For local links it makes sense to just change the link type.  However, since issue links can be expanded to Remote Issue Links, consistency would also require all the Remote Issue Link providers to implement an edit (or 'react to a change in link type') interface as well - and changing a link type from local to remote is a more difficult proposition.

Hmmmm But when you delete a link, it deletes from all remote issues. So you can't just implement a change Type method?

Well whatever the reason is, it's these simple helpful conveniences that makes a product a bit more special and easier to use.

Thanks for your answer, Josh.
