When we assign an issue in Jira Service Desk project to someone, then the notifications don't trigger. We have configured current assignee to receive notification, when the Issue Assigned event happens. However, it looks like assigning an issue on edit/view screen doesn't trigger Issue Assigned event, therefore no notifications are being sent.
What is this all about and how can we fix this? When I configured Issue Updated event to send a notification, it works as I modify the assignee, but that's not the desired behavior.
Does Jira somehow treat assigning an issue as Issue Updated event now, instead of Issue Assigned?
Can anyone confirm if this bug is fixed in newer versions?
