The screenshot shows an issue counter in each column, is this a default in JIRA or I can add/edit/delete them, if yes then please guide the steps through. Thanks
The screenshot is showing the columns from a Kanban board and when you use one of the quick filters. The numbers show how many issues are selected based on the filter out of the total number of issues in that particular column.

@Mikael Sandberg do you know why this option isn't available on a scrum board? A basic issue count would be so nice to have.

@Jennifer Dragan it is available, but it depends on how you set up your swim lanes. If you leave it show it based on stories it will not show the count, but if you select any of the other options it will show the count.
