Issue view - Agile Tab "View on board" missing

We have JIRA 7.1 with JIRA Software and JIRA Service Desk.

I've found that whilst obviously Agile Boards can surface issues from JIRA Service Desk (JSD) Projects, JSD Projects do not 'link to Agile Boards' as they used to.

In particular, the main 'Issue view' will not show the Agile Tab therefore the "View on board" link is missing.
Also, the Project Overview will not show Agile Information for a JSD project...

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? 

It really seems like Atlassian are driving for a "one-or-the-other" divide with JIRA Software and JIRA Service Desk. Why can't both be fully in effect at the same time... Grrrr

I have the same issue. The button is available in standard kanban project but not in a project management project. Is there a way to add this functionality to a project management board?
