I've enabled a workflow validator that makes the Parent field mandatory when creating a ticket. However, when I use the AI function to create child issues (subtasks), I get an error, and the subtask isn’t created. If I disable the validator, the AI-generated subtask works fine. Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions on how to enforce the parent field without breaking AI-generated subtasks? Thanks in advance!
Interesting! That would mean subtasks are created without a parent, and the parent is linked afterward. If that’s the case, the AI function would need to be modified.
I’m curious—is this a Jira Premium feature or something provided by an app?
Cheers
I don't think this is ootb functionality, but add via an app is this correct?
If so revert to the app developers this might not be possible in the app.
