I was able to use the Atlassian Upgrade installer to upgrade my Jira instance from 8.20.1 to 8.20.10 and the installer seemed to go through on both nodes so I restarted the Jira services on both but now I still see an maintaince window when trying to go to the Jira Dashboard. I also see that in the services application on node 2 that two Atlassian Jira services are present and Atlassian Jira 8.20.1 and 8.20.10 with 8.20.10 the only service running. There is only one jira service running on node 1 and tha is Atlassian Jira 8.20.10. Do I need to reinstall the installer on node 2 or could something have gone wrong one node 1 or both? Also the services on both nodes have been running for more than 20 minutes but I still see the maintaince splash page for Jira. I also have a two node test instance i follwed the same steps that worked.
Welcome to the community 🙂
The way you should have upgraded is by putting the DC in Upgrade mode, you can check this in the Applications option under Administration
One you have the Jira DC in Upgrade mode, you have to upgrade the instances one by one to the latest version and this procedure would be similar to that of single server upgrade, once all the server upgrades are completed you will have to complete / finalize the upgrade which completes the process
You can now stop Jira Sevice in the 2nd node and observe the logs for the version and try to finalize the upgrade as mentioned above and let me know if it works

Hope this helps
