What do you mean by "the code part of Jira"?
Might be easier to describe what you are trying to achieve, then we can try to help you get there the right way, rather than have you guess at what is possibly the wrong route.
Sorry, was typing this rather hastily, what i mean is that people have told that i have to go into the JIRA back end to code the changes that I want to make, e.g: I wanted to remove the 'None' option from a single select list, someone replied and told me i would have to code this.
I hope this helps to clarify what i mean.

Yes, that's a great explanation.
You can't get to the code in Cloud though. End user access to the software is blocked so that you can't make changes that Atlassian don't want to support.

Ah, that is unfortunate... A colleague of mine says she could fix and customize out server if she could access that part of JIRA, but thanks for informing me that it is not possible.
