Unfortunately once you delete something it is gone. Do you have any backups of your Jira Server? Perhaps you can retrieve that from the backups?

We're just a contracted company, the servers are run by the company itself so we have no control over that kind of thing.

I was just hoping there would be some kind of recycle bin for end users. The problem itself got resolved ok :)
