Jira Automation - Clone story then email, email does not show {{issue.parent.key}} {{issue.parent.s

I have a story that I am cloning. This copied the Parent Link. 

The cloned story looks fine, it includes the link. It has it showing "as child of" in the story.

This is all good. 

But, when I send an email after this with  {{issue.parent.key}} {{issue.parent.summary}}

It shows up as blank. The email is suppose to alert that there is a story created and it is part of the "main story".

 

In the "send email" 

Decommission the following as per:</p>
Main Story: {{issue.parent.key}} {{issue.parent.summary}}<br /> {{issue.parent.url}}<br />

Email:

You can use the smart value {{createdIssue}} to access the last created issue in the rule.

or

you can try the below smart values:

{{issue.issuelinks.inwardIssue.key}}
{{issue.issuelinks.outwardIssue.key}}

Unfortunately, non of these work. Still Blank.
