We're having some trouble trying to change due date in Jira issues, because as soon as the due date is changed, the issue marks itself as "fixed".
Our workaround is to clone the issue with the new due date and afterwards, delete the older issue.
Is there any way to change the due date without changing the issue status to fixed?

Sounds like you have got the "resolution" field on the "edit" screen. Remove that, and it should stop happening.

Gonna check that with the users having trouble since I can't seem to reproduce the error (honestly, the resolution field is something that stands out, at least to me!).
